AppleBlog.org is an independent Apple-focused project created by John Gollax, also known online as ApplebloggerUX. The project grew from a real Apple launch experience in New York City into a long-running source for iPhone reviews, iOS downloads, macOS topics and Mac coverage.

Born near Apple Store NYC

The idea for AppleBlog.org appeared after John Gollax spent the whole night in line near the Apple Store in New York City to get the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Our Story

AppleBlog.org started from one unforgettable night near the Apple Store in New York City — a night of waiting, excitement and the feeling that every new iPhone launch was part of something bigger.

AppleBlog.org was created by John Gollax, known online as ApplebloggerUX. The idea to launch the site came when John spent the entire night waiting in line outside the Apple Store in NYC to get the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. One of those devices, the iPhone 5S, still works well today and remains a small symbol of the beginning of this project.

John first started writing reviews about the iPhone and new iOS versions. The early goal was simple: share real impressions, explain new Apple features in a practical way and help users understand what changed with every new iPhone and iOS release.

Later, Chan Zhuang joined AppleBlog.org. Chan had previously developed the MICGadget project, and after the sale of MICGadget, he fully joined AppleBlog.org. He helped expand the site into iOS downloads, macOS topics, firmware guides and system update coverage, and he continues to help develop the project today.

After that, Andrit Johnson joined the project and strengthened the Mac direction. His work focuses mainly on Apple computers, including MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio and other Mac-related topics.

Today, AppleBlog.org is built around three main contributors with different areas of expertise: Apple device reviews, iOS and macOS downloads, and Mac computer coverage. The project remains independent and is not affiliated with Apple Inc.
