The FIFA World Cup always feels bigger than sport. It becomes a shared global moment. People watch matches in different countries, speak different languages and support different teams, but the atmosphere is strangely familiar everywhere.
That is why I wanted these wallpapers to feel global. Not just football icons, not just flags, not just text. I wanted every image to look like a country glowing at night during the biggest football event in the world.
The first wallpapers in this collection include Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Mexico and Uruguay. Each one has its own visual character, national colors and map atmosphere.
One thing I always notice with wallpapers is that many of them look beautiful as images, but not always as actual iPhone wallpapers.
The clock covers the main subject. Widgets hide important details. The Dynamic Island cuts into the design. Notifications sit exactly where the text should be.
So I created these wallpapers with the iPhone screen in mind. The vertical format gives enough space for the Lock Screen while still keeping the map, country name and World Cup atmosphere visible.
