How it works:

– 30 minutes for the inspection to enter the factory
– 2 hours of work
– 10-minute break
– 2 hours of work
– 50-minute lunch break
– 2 hours of work
– 10-minute break
– 2 hours of work
– 10-minute break
– 2.5 hours of overtime work

When Zeng just got a job, it was his job to build the iPhone 6s. He pasted a sticker on the back of the device and screwed it to the body. According to him, it was an unbearably boring occupation. In general, all the work in the shop consisted in monotonous implementation of the same operations, such as twisting one particular cog in each device or setting the camera.

Zeng added that there can be no question of any training or work outside the plant. Working for 12.5 hours a day, people simply did not have energy for anything else. They just wanted to relax.

During the trial period, an average of about five iPhones passes through the employee and most of the time he can wait for several hours only when he is given the next device for assembly.

It is forbidden to get up from your seats and even talk. None of the staff could say that he likes this job, and the staff turnover was very high. Some were dismissed after two weeks or a month.

Chinese people are getting 2320 yuan, which is about $400 per month. How much are you going to pay for the US workers in terms of base salary? 🙂
